KLOMPER Events LLC
Privacy policy
Version 1.3 · Effective September 11, 2026
Klomper (“Klomper,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. The Klomper website and events are operated by KLOMPER EVENTS LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you visit klomperrace.com, join a waitlist, request training information, or register for an event.
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender category, shirt size, emergency-contact details, division interest, teammate information, registration and payment status, waiver acknowledgements, and communication preferences. When you register for a paid event, our payment provider processes payment information; Klomper does not store full payment-card numbers.
We may also receive basic technical information when you use the website, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referral source, and approximate location. This technical information may be collected through our website hosting and analytics tools.
If you allow optional analytics, we use random browser and session identifiers to understand visits and registration steps. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous: they can be associated with a registration when you submit it. Essential registration, payment, fraud-prevention, and support records are retained independently of optional browsing analytics.
How we use information
- manage event waitlists, registrations, divisions, and participant communications;
- provide requested training information;
- send event, registration, and training updates when you have agreed to receive them;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and events;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Klomper, including website hosting, database, email, customer-relationship management, payment, and analytics providers. Our service providers include Cloudflare, Supabase, GoHighLevel, Stripe, and Resend. We do not sell personal information.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or property, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, safety, and event-record requirements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system is completely secure.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in an email or our unsubscribe page. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions. Transactional messages about an event registration may still be sent when necessary to provide the service you requested.
Browser storage and analytics
Essential cookies support staff sign-in and race-day access. We save your privacy choice in your browser for up to one year. Optional analytics run only after you choose “Allow analytics.” They use local storage for a random visitor identifier and referral information, and session storage for a session identifier. These identifiers remain until you clear browser data or choose “Essential only.”
Use “Privacy choices” in the footer to change your choice. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable optional analytics. Your choice applies to this browser; repeat it on other browsers or devices. Declining analytics does not prevent registration or payment. Cloudflare, payment providers, and our servers still process information needed to deliver and secure those services.
Children, guardians, and information about others
Registration is intended to be completed by adults. A parent or legal guardian must provide information and sign the paper event waiver for a participant under 18. A separate untimed Kid Klomper division may be offered for children; review the event’s available divisions and guardian arrangements before registering. Do not enter a child’s personal email address; use the responsible adult’s contact information. We use participant details to administer the event, not to target marketing at children.
If you provide information about a teammate or emergency contact, you must have their permission and share this policy with them. A captain’s registration does not replace another adult participant’s waiver. Contact us if a child has submitted information without a parent or guardian, or to request review or deletion of a child’s information.
Where information is processed
Our website and providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. Privacy protections can differ by location. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, or object to certain uses. Contact us to exercise a right or raise a concern; we may need to verify your identity, and legal recordkeeping exceptions may apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version and update its effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or a website notice when appropriate.
