Can I get a refund?

Yes. Cancel more than 7 days before race day and you get a full refund. No questions, no fee. Email info@klomperrace.com with your name and wristband number and we send it back the way you paid.

Inside 7 days, the shirts are printed, the waves are set, and the judges are scheduled. No cash refunds in race week. Instead, we move your entry to the next KLOMPER at no cost. You keep your spot. You keep your build. You just race a little later.

No-shows on race day are treated the same as a race-week cancellation. Let us know and your entry rolls forward.

Can I give my spot to a friend?

Yes, up to 7 days before race day. Email us with your friend's name and email. They finish their own registration, sign their own waiver, and take your spot at no charge. Inside race week, no swaps. Wristbands and waivers are locked to the athlete who signed.

What about Doubles?

The team is the entry. Cancel the whole team more than 7 days out for a full refund. Lose a partner more than 7 days out and you can swap in a new one for free. Lose a partner inside race week and you have two options: race Solo in the same weight class, or roll the whole team to the next KLOMPER. No partial refunds.

What if it rains?

We run. Rain, wind, cold, heat. The course is open ground. Dress for the day and expect wet turf.

What stops the race?

Lightning. That is the only thing.

If lightning is detected within 10 miles or thunder is heard, all waves stop and everyone leaves the field for shelter. We restart 30 minutes after the last strike or thunder. Athletes mid-course hold their split and resume from the station they were at. Waves that had not started go in order once the field reopens.

Every 30 minutes we wait pushes the schedule 30 minutes. Plan for it.

What if the weather cancels the whole race?

If lightning will not clear and we cannot finish the day, we call it. That decision is ours and it is final. Then you choose: a full refund, or a free entry to the next KLOMPER. Email us within 14 days and tell us which one.

If the race was already underway when we called it, times are not official and no results are published.
